Sports Day 2023

Intent – Why?

• Develop sport/event specific skills and understanding
• Develop transferable physical skills and tactical awareness
• Work as part of a team across the school

Wednesday 21st June

Well done to all of the children from across the school who took part in our sports day this year. First up were the track events which were as follows:

Foundation – Flat Race & Bat ‘n’ Beanbag Race

Year 1 – Flat Race & Miniature Hurdles

Year 2 – Flat Race & Sack Race

Year 3 – Flat Race & Bat ‘n’ Beanbag Race

Year 4 – Flat Race & Sack Race

Year 5 – Flat Race & Miniature Hurdles

Year 6 – Flat Race & Relay Races

After, the children work in small groups to complete different field event:

Standing Jump

Hockey

Target Throw

Skipping

Football

Distance Throw

It was fantastic to see so many smiles as well as the determination to do their best! Well done again!

The Winning team of Sports Day 2023 was the Blue Team! Congratulations to them.
