"Well done to all of the children who took part in cross country at Coombe Dean School. Our children showed fantastic perseverance throughout to race all the way to the end. All of the children performed brilliantly and we are so proud of them! We are especially proud of one of our young racers who took a tumble, picked themselves up, dusted themselves off and fought right to the very end to finish their race."

A huge well done to all of the children who took part in the Lipson Family Cross Country event. The children performed brilliantly and showed superb perseverance throughout the races. See below for the results and a message from the event organiser. What a fantastic achievement for our Year 3 and 4 runners!
“Monday 17th January saw some of Lipson's feeder primary schools take part in the cross country. This event was focussed upon getting students from years 3 and 4 to run, what was a rather wet course. Thankfully the sun was shining and not a cloud could be seen.
The standard was set high after the girls kick started the event. This was soon followed by the boys which saw a speedy race from start to finish. With only the first four positions being counted for each school team, the overall results were close. Below shows the final placings:
3 & 4 girls 3 & 4 boys
3rd - Prince Rock 3rd - Lipson Vale
2nd - Prince Rock 2nd - Prince Rock
1st - Prince Rock 1st - Prince Rock
Overall the students who took part did brilliantly and should be really proud of themselves and their team mates. Thankfully the sun was shining and it ended up being a fantastic event. Thank you to the teachers that brought the students along, and also to the Lipson Sporting leaders for helping to run the event.”
