Free School Meals

As parents you will understand the importance of healthy school food for children and young people, both for their physical needs and also as a key part of the education process and learning experience with their friends. We encourage all children and young people to enjoy school food to allow them to benefit from a wide choice and at the same time take part in social experience with their friends.

  • Please note, from September 2014 ALL children in Key Stage 1 and the Foundation Stage have been entitled to free school meals
  • HOWEVER, the school receives additional money to support pupils who are entitled to free schools meals for the reasons listed below so please let us know if you feel your child meets these criteria even if they are not in KS2 
  • Your child may be entitled to Free School Meals if you receive any of the following benefits:
  • Income Support
  • Income based Job Seeker's Allowance
  • Income based Employment & Support Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit with an annual income not exceeding £16,190
  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • The guaranteed element of the State Pension Credit
  • Support under Part VI  of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Universal Credit with an annual income of less than £7,400
  • Working Tax Credit Run on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
