Well done to five of our fantastic role models who represented the school in an Inclusive Rowing Event today. Here is a message from the event organiser:

"What a brilliant morning at Plymouth Life Centre today for our annual PSSP Primary Inclusion Rowing event. 6 schools brought their teams along to take part in some indoor rowing and fun challenges led by the brilliant young leaders from Tor Bridge High. Before the schools arrived, our young leaders received some training from Josh so that they could run various challenges and help the children with their technique. There was a little bit of time for some practice and a mini competition of our own, before the schools arrived. Today, we had teams from Cann Bridge, Compton, Holy Cross, Prince Rock, Widewell and Yealmpstone Farm, all eager to learn some new skills, meet new people and take part in some friendly competition. As soon as the schools arrived, the leaders introduced themselves and then it was right into the action. Today’s event was all about personal best and striving to beat your own score. First up was the 100m dash: the children were challenged to row 100m as fast as they can but on their next go they had to try to beat their own score. We also had a 200m dash and a Fish Game challenge for all the children to try and even had some puzzles and art work stations for the children waiting for their turn. There really was a buzz in the air this morning—it was so great to look around and see so many children enjoying taking part in a new activity. Our young leaders were incredible today—it was thanks to them that the event ran smoothly and that everyone had such a great time—they were just incredible with the children and several teachers mentioned it so thank you all so much—you are a credit to our school! Thank you to all of the staff who brought their teams along today, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. I look forward to seeing you all at another great PSSP event soon."
