    Tue 16 Apr 2024

Summer Reading Challenge - Central Library Event

The Emma Carroll event was a great success. The library had over 80 people attend the event and it was wonderful to see so many young people all hanging on her every word!

For younger readers, Plymouth Library have the author Claire Brown at Central on the morning of Saturday 27 April. She’ll be there from 11.30am to talk about, and read from, her book The Wonder Weeds.

  • Phonics Screening Check - Y1 and some Y2 Parents

    Mon 04 Mar 2024

    Dear parents and carers,

Please visit the page below to read or listen to a PowerPoint presentation which explains the Phonics Screening Check that your child is required to complete in June this year. If you have any questions after reading or listening to the PowerPoint, please speak to your child's class teacher.

This information has also been sent via email. If you have not received this email and your child is in Y2, it means your child does not have to retake the check.

    Many thanks,

    Miss McMillan

  • World Book Day Reminder

    Wed 28 Feb 2024

World Book Day (UK & Ireland) is on THURSDAY 7TH MARCH!

We will be celebrating this at Prince Rock! The Prince Rock Primary School school council were eager to contribute have decided on the following theme: dress as their favourite story book character or come in a fresh pair of PJs for lots of story time throughout the day.

On the day, we will have some community readers joining us at school, a special assembly and follow-up activities, a book sale and classes coming together to read and share their favourite stories.

Please see your emails for ideas about how to dress for the day!
