Cross Country

Well done to four of our Year 5 and 6 boys who took part in the city wide Cross Country event. They showed get resilience and determination to run the long distance from start to finish. Here is a message from the event organiser:

“After all the hard work and training, it was finally the Cross Country Finals day! 19 schools took on the course of just under 2km in a race for the lowest place possible, to be added to their team score. Schools were split into minor and major category’s based on the amount of pupils on roll in KS2. Over 450 pupils from Year 3-6 took on the challenge, with lots of determined runners sprinting at the finish, to get the best spot they could.

The races ran as followed:

Year 3-4 Girls Minor

 Year 3-4 Girls Major

 Year 3-4 Boys Minor

 Year 3-4 Boys Major

Year 5-6 Girls Minor

Year 5-6 Girls Major

Year 5-6 Boys Minor

Year 5-6 Boys Major

The weather held off for us and we even had some sunshine! A lovely way to finish off the cross country season. A huge well done to everyone that took part and to our leaders from Coombe Dean for all your help too.”
