Schools Running Challenge

Schools Running Challenge 2019

On Sunday, a group of Prince Rock children attended the Schools Running Challenge on the Plymouth Hoe. The children have been training for the event in school and enjoyed completing their final mile on the Hoe. Well done to all the children as they all tried their best and all achieved the goals that they set out at the beginning of the training. In school, the children who didn't get the chance to completing their final mile on the Hoe will get a chance to complete it at school. We can't wait for the children to all celebrate their success with their shiny new medals!

Here is an event overview from the organiser:

“Very early on Sunday 19th May, 3,200 primary school children and teachers from 64 schools in Plymouth, descended on the Hoe to take part in the DELT Shared Services Schools’ Challenge 2019.

We have collated some of the fantastic photos that were taken on the day and have added them below.

“Just wanted to say how brilliant yesterday was…. lots of positive feedback from parents and staff on how well the event was organised.  Please pass on my thanks and a big well done to the team!” Julie Bevan, Principal, Sir John Hunt.

“Thank you for your organisation yesterday. Another successful Schools’ Challenge!” Zack Cuzner, PE Coordinator, Manadon Vale Primary School.

“Thanks, well done for another fabulous event!” Juliet Shepherd, PE Coordinator, Wembury Primary School.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this incredible event.  We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!  It was wonderful to see so many young people and families enjoying the event together.

Why not keep up the running a mile a week and see how far you can go?!!
