Hockey

Picture 1
On Friday 12th October 2018, Mr Young and Mrs Buss took 8 children from Year five and Year six to compete in a hockey event at Brickfields. The children showed excellent teamwork and ended up coming 4th in their group after playing 4 games against other schools.

Below you will find the report from the Plymouth School Sports Partnership.

It was an exceptionally windy afternoon for this year’s Quicksticks event at brickfields however that didn’t stop 10 teams turning up, eager to take part in an afternoon of hockey. Storm Callum had caused a lot of teams to drop out on the day which meant there were two pools of 5 to compete meaning every team played 4 games.

There was some fantastic hockey on show during the afternoon in tough conditions, with plenty of goals scored as well as strong defending.

A huge thanks goes to Devonport High School for boy’s leaders who umpired the games on the day, please see the attached results.
